It has been almost two years since we were last on a Disney Cruise Line ship and almost three since we were on the Magic.  At that time we cruised across the Atlantic to Barcelona and the Canary Islands. Getting ready to cross the Atlantic I discovered my usual short haircut was getting a bit long so I went to the

The Hohensalzburg Fortress is perched high on the peak of Festungsberg. The castle served as a refuge for the Archbishops when ever they felt threatened. The best way to get to the fortress is by taking the funicular. You can walk up the mountain if you wish but the funicular is quick, inexpensive and very comfortable. The ride takes less than a mi

The Disney Magic stopped at Grand Cayman and we had to tender in to Georgetown.   This was a sweet town, a place we will have to go back to, maybe for one of our month visits to foreign shores. We shopped around town for a while, stopping in a couple shops and having lunch.  Jennifer

On many cruise ships, you are assigned a dinning room that you eat in the duration of the trip.  Disney rotates you through the four restaurants.   You keep the same wait staff and table number as you go to the different dinning areas. They are great.  Most noteable are Tritons and Animators Palate.  The later starts off as black and

The Monarch of the Seas is the first ship I have ever been on for a cruise. (I was on a cruise ship in the Gulf of Finland, but it was stripped to be a ferry from Estonia to Helsinki.  It wasn't very impressive.) This ship had everything I could have imagined. There were two large dining rooms, several lounges, two salt water pools,
