It was all of 14 months that I have not been up to the cabin.  I did not want to let 2006 pass without at least one visit.  We arrived with less than 2 hours to spare in the year 2006.

I installed the new door that I built by 1:00 am on January 1, 2007.

We primarily worked on the roof accross four days.  We installed a metal roof that we purchased in the summer of 2005.  It has been sitting there in the cabin ever since.

It was hard, especially considering I have a fear of heights and I was assisted by my 10 & 11 year old sons.  They performed quite admirably.  I would not have finished the roof in the allotted time without their help.

All in all, the roof went in and once we figured out what we were doing, it went pretty fast.

Now I realize I will not be winning any awards with my roofing prowess, but it does not leak.  We know. It rained our last night there.
