Renting an Apartment in Barcelona

As we planned our stay in Barcelona, we priced a few hotel rooms before looking at apartments.  What we discovered very quickly is that hotel rooms may include all the 'perks' but you can pay dearly for them.

For just over half the price of a hotel room, we found a number of apartments that included two bedrooms, a kitchen, a private bath and more! We found a great place at VRBO that was located in the city and convenient to all the sites we wanted to see.  The places that were farther were easy to get to by way of the metro.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable for our stay in Barcelona.  We were even able to wash laundry while there and get on-line on the high-speed wireless Internet connection and use our VOIP phone and check our servers on a daily basis.

One of the best money saving features was that we could walk to the OpenCor up the road to get any groceries we needed and we ate breakfast and dinner in the apartment on most days.  This saved even more money on our daily budget.

As a traveling family, security is a primary concern. The security at the apartment was very good.  There was a required key to get into the building stairway.  Also, the heavy door had three different locking systems for more security.  The balcony had a view of the city streets of Barcelona and Sagrada Familia in the distance, but all the windows locked tight as well.
