Near Miss, but Prepared
On July 15th, Hurricane Claudette was predicted to hit directly over Port Aransas.  The path was later altered to pass north of us, and it did.

However, much of the town was prepared for the storm and we did loose our beaches for the day it passed a mere 60 miles from us.

Ultimately, the only thing that happened here was we had a few trees down and a lot of wind.  The surfers had a good day on the water.  We didn't even get a decent rain, which is normal for the south side of a storm like this one.
